Farewell..For Now

Well it's finally the end of the season folks. We at Pine Ridge Raceway thank you all for another fun and successful year. As people get ready to make the trek to the Dells for the D-16 banquet, we however will not be making the trek this year to pick our traditional dates.

In 2018 we are taking a step back from hosting races. We will still offer practices on select weekends and of course the Brawl Pitbike Event. After many holiday weekends, we are going to try a year away from the hustle and stress of hosting an event. We love the sport of Motocross, the fantastic people met over the past 18 years, and opening our land to all to enjoy and compete.

We have heard many rumors and we want to squash them right away. No, we did not sell the track, nor is it for sale. No, we did not go bankrupt. No, we did not convert the property into a campground. Is this a permanent closure...for now it's a step away for a year or two.

My grandparents are the best. We love them to pieces, and appreciate the opportunity to take a piece of land they worked hard for and convert it into a racetrack. We are thankful for all they've done. I love seeing the sense of pride they have when they see people come up and enjoy what was created so long ago. As a family we started this journey, and as a family we chose to step away. Life happens. Family's grow, and with that, we want to enjoy a couple years with the grandkids, nieces, and nephews and not feel the commitment of being at the track constantly.

We will be able to take this time away to work on the track. Revamp the property. Give the equipment much needed tlc, and finally get a fresh perspective on what the future holds for us.

There are many wonderful tracks and promoters in the district. Please make sure to patronize them. The practice tracks are fun, but at the end of the day, the actual tracks want and need your business to stay afloat. Make sure to show them some love in 2018.

We will see you all later. We have so many friends, sponsors, and family we want to thank, but I think you all know who you are and what you mean to us.

We leave you with a very special THANK YOU from,

The LaCount, Wallace, Peterson, & Hanson families
